HADDONFIELD, N.J. -- Camden County Historical Society vice president Patrick Matlack was the master of ceremonies for the Special Evening of Antiques. Here, he opens the auction portion of the event. Among the visually striking items auctioned off to benefit the Society's education programs were a series of rare World War I war bonds posters (See larger photo).

Wooden Items Betty Young
More than 150 antiques went on the block including 18th- and 19th-century wooden implements (See larger photo). Above, right, library volunteer Betty Young of Camden and director of Society programming, Sandy Levins, share a laugh at a few of the more peculiar objects up for auction.

Nipper Mink jacket
A collection of RCA Victor memorabilia drew high interest. Included were two different versions of Nipper as well as Nipper neck ties donated by Al Peak of Haddonfield American Legion Post 38 (See larger photo). A mink jacket, above right, was one of two luxury furs donated for auction.

Depression glass Singer
Another grouping that sparked spirited bidding was a collection of Depression glass (above, left). Joining the piano player throughout the evening was sultry Medford singer Pati Boguski (See larger photo).
